The Conversational Solfege curriculum is a music literacy program based on the principle of sound before sight. Just as children learn language by speaking before reading and writing, students will gain an aural understanding of music through rote learning, singing, and improvising independently and with others before learning to read and compose. By the end of 4th grade students will have a vast musical vocabulary in which they can create, read, and write, using their voice and instruments.
